Photo School in week 40, during the autumn holiday!
Welcome to the Photo School at Henie Onstad for children between 8 and 12 years old (children who are 8 years old in 2019 can register).
During an active week, children study art, explore photography, and make a photo book, as well as they explore the woods and the park outdoors.
Classes are held from Monday 30 September to Friday 4 October at 9am–3pm with a vernissage presenting the student's work on Friday. This afternoon parents, friends and family are invited.
Professional photographers and educators are responsible for the classes. The students are encouraged to bring their own camera, or the students can borrow a camera from Fotogalleriet.

What is a good image?
Photo Safari: Take your own documentary pictures. We practice using what we have learned in the exhibition and using different techniques.
Theme: Maria Pasenau "Pasenau and the Devil" at Fotogalleriet, Møllergata 34.
Visit to the Fotogalleriet. Guided tour and workshop
We create a universes inside a cardboard box, what do we choose to bring in, what do we want to remove - what effect does this have? We photograph our universes and play with angles and lighting.

What is the Photo Shcool - General information
The Photo School work with inspiration from exhibitions at Henie Onstad and Fotogalleriet. The exhibitions and the environment at Høvikodden forms a framework for the Photo School.
Important information and the workshop program is presented on Monday at 0830. Please not that one adult per child must be present for this presentation.
On Friday, parents, siblings, grandparents and friends are invited to a photo book launch from 3pm to 4pm at Henie Onstad, Høvikodden.

11:30Lunch outside. Please remember to bring packed lunch and water bottle.
- 12:30 Session two: Indoor acitivites
- 15 End of the day. Please pick up your child at the entrance of Henie Onstad
- Extra set of clothes
- Shoes for indoor use
- Please check the weather forecast for the day. Dress your child accordingly. Please note we spend much time outdoors.
- Please remember to bring something to drink – water bottles are great.
