Henie Onstad has reopened

Welcome back to the Henie Onstad!

With new routines, the museum opens according to the national authorities' corona regulations. Your safety is important to us and we kindly ask you to respect the following:

  • As a visitor you must keep at least one meter distance to other persons
  • We recommend contactless and digital payment. Please avoid cash
  • Tickets are for sale at the door or you can pre-purchase online
  • All visitors must use hand sanitizer before and after the visit at Høvikodden

At present, the inaugural edition of the Henie Onstad's triennial New Visions is on display. This is a major presentation of photography and new media, with works from 31 Norwegian and international artists. Many of the works are made specifically for the triennial and as a whole they represent important tendencies in today's experimental art photography. The permanent installation Hymn of Life by Yayoi Kusama is open as well as the new presentation of the Henie Onstad-Collection, curated by artist Elise Storsveen.

Originally New Visions was scheduled to close as early as May 16, but because of the lockdown the Henie Onstad has managed to extend the exhibition until September 13, 2020. The museum closely follows the advice given by the national authorities and is ready to make adjustments when necessary and possible.

We are so much looking forward welcoming you at our Art Center. Please take care and enjoy!
