-Photography became a way of looking at things, a way of sorting out the interesting stuff from the rest.
-Who are you?
I am Linn Pedersen, a photographer and artist. At the moment I am living and working in my home town Sortland in the north of Norway together with my husband and two daughters.
-What do you do?
Right now I am working on various photography and book projects. I have pretty much been walking around photographing in the same places for 17 years now where I still discover new material.
-Why photography?
When I was younger, I first wanted to become a writer, but I couldn't find the right words. Then I wanted to paint, but I didn't know where to start on the canvas. In photography, everything is already there, somehow. Photography became a way of looking at things, a way of sorting out the interesting stuff from the rest, through the optics and chemicals of my camera and film. I don't "make" the objects and situations, but recognise them when I see them.
